什么是陆军后备军官训练队?
军队 Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) is a scholarship program that trains university students to become commissioned officers in the U.S. 军队.
Participants are provided financial support for their studies. They complete the curriculum along with their required university courses.
在毕业, cadets are commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the Regular 军队, 军队 Reserve or 军队 National Guard with an assigned specialty (i.e., infantry, aviation, medical, intelligence, etc.).

学生 who commit to the program receive a monthly living allowance and book stipends each academic year. In addition, scholarships are awarded based on merit and academic standing.

- 2 -, 3 -, and four-year scholarship options based on the time remaining to complete your bachelor’s degree.

- The option for room and board in place of tuition support.
学生 can take lower division 军队 ROTC courses without an obligation to join the U.S. 军队, but will not qualify for financial support.

军队 ROTC is available at 加州大学洛杉矶分校 through our partnership with the UCLA 军队 ROTC Bruin Battalion, one of the best leadership development programs in the nation.
Student participants register for courses through UCLA Extension. The classes take place at the UCLA campus or at Cal State Northridge. Online classes will be available soon to facilitate 加州大学洛杉矶分校 students’ participation in this program.
资格
To qualify for 军队 ROTC, you must meet the following requirements:
- 做一个U.S. 公民,
- Be no older than 31 at the time of commission,
- Possess a high school diploma, or equivalent,
- 累积GPA为2分.5或以上;
- Be medically qualified through DODMERB, and
- Be able to pass the 军队 Physical Fitness Test with a minimum score of 60 points in every event (50 points for high school applicants).

MS I: 0800 to 0850 (Freshman)
MS II: 0900 to 1050 (Sophomore)
MS III: 0800 to 1050 (Junior)

Lower division courses focus on the fundamentals of leadership and officership. These are some of the courses offered:
12. 基本军事领导. (2个单元)讲座，一小时. Introduction to fundamentals of leadership, 军队 leadership values, ethics and counseling techniques. Foundation of basic leadership fundamentals central to commissioned officer's responsibilities established. P/NP或字母分级.
23. Subordinate Development and 军队 Organization. (3 units) Lecture, two hours. Discussion/application of team-building techniques and subordinate development, 通过联合讲座, 讨论, 体验式学习, with additional focus on commissioned officer, 分支机构, 军队组织. Upper division courses build upon the leadership fundamentals and explore specialized skills and training. These are some of the upper division courses:
131. Tactical Planning and Analysis. (4 units) Lecture, three hours; laboratory, four hours. Introduction to leadership development process used to evaluate military leadership performance. Examination of how to conduct individual and small unit training as well as introduction to basic principles of tactics. Emphasis on study of reasoning skills, troop leading procedures and military orders processing. P/NP或字母分级.
142. Leadership, Ethics, and Military Law. (4 units) Lecture, three hours; laboratory, four hours. Interactive course to enhance student understanding of organizational culture, leadership and ethics. Understanding and enhancement of leader-member relations, assessment of organizational culture and ethical climate, and how to effect change in organizations. Exploration of foundations of military law and law of war. P/NP或字母分级.
143. Officership: Professional Military Leadership. (4 units) Lecture, three hours; laboratory, four hours. Capstone interactive leadership course to prepare students for challenges of being commissioned officers in U.S. 军队 by discussing various leadership challenges and case studies. 军事单位研究, with specific emphasis on joint operations involving 军队, 海军, 空军, 和海军陆战队资产, military operations other than war, 以及全球反恐战争.
